Mall of America turns to texts to manage parking

Security officers at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minn., say about 1,500 shoppers ask for help each year after they lose track of their cars in the giant shopping center's 12,550-space parking lot, prompting the mall to devise a tech-based solution. This week, the mall rolled out an SMS-based system that sends text messages reminding customers where they parked.
