Report: Vague objectives can impede policy-administration upgrades

Problems such as vague business objectives and shifts in business sponsorship can hinder efforts to replace policy-administration systems, according to a Deloitte white paper. Insurers replacing a policy-administration system generally should avoid customized software and give the task of developing business rules to advisers who are familiar with the firm's processes, Deloitte said in another report.
