Students taste-test school-meal options

In a Kentucky school district, nutrition professionals are working to make healthier meals appealing to students by offering healthier versions of familiar favorites and offering meals that have been tested by a chef and students. Students also are offered both hot and cold vegetable options, and plans are under way to add kale chips, spinach and butternut squash to school menus.
