Aereo could attract 35% of U.S. homes, Diller predicts

Up to 35% of U.S. households could become Aereo subscribers if the broadcast-streaming Internet company can overcome its legal challenges, Barry Diller says. Younger consumers will be attracted to its monthly charge of $8, compared with $100 or more per month for cable-television service, he predicts. The billionaire backer of Aereo also dismissed threats by Major League Baseball and the National Football League to take their games off broadcast TV if Aereo prevails with the U.S. Supreme Court.
