Lawmaker urges NTSB to boost Calif. airport accident investigation efforts

A National Transportation Safety Board investigation into the cause of an accident at the Santa Monica Airport in California was interrupted by the shutdown of the federal government in October. Democratic state Rep. Henry Waxman, recently sent a letter to the NTSB demanding that efforts be increased to make up for lost time. "I am concerned about any impact on your ability to conduct a thorough investigation of this fatal crash," Waxman wrote.
