McDonald's pulls back from national McRib launch

McDonald's won't roll out the McRib sandwich nationally this year, opting instead to return to letting franchisees decide whether to offer the cult classic in their stores. After three years of putting the sandwich on the national menu to boost end-of-the-year sales, the chain will instead focus national attention and resources on newer items including Mighty Wings, said spokeswoman Tyler Litchenberger.
