Mo. students share ideas during recruitment of new superintendent

An advisory group of more than 20 students from Springfield, Mo., Public Schools recently weighed in to tell a recruitment firm about the qualities they seek in the superintendent to succeed Norm Ridder. The ideal candidate to lead the 25,000-student district should be approachable, open-minded, and willing to interact with them and listen to their ideas, students said.
