President Barack Obama and HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius met Wednesday with National Association of Insurance Commissioners officials to discuss the Affordable Care Act's implementation and the administration's recent announcement that insurers may continue to offer certain plans that don't meet ACA standards. Some states will not follow the directive. The president "acknowledged the complexity of the issues" surrounding reinstating canceled policies, NAIC President Jim Donelon said. State regulators say changing rules could present problems.
