Sinopec is considering building a liquefied natural gas export terminal in British Columbia, said Rich Coleman, the province's Minister of Natural Gas Development. Coleman did not disclose further details, but he said Sinopec had begun discussions with a partner to build the project. "All we know at this point in time is they've entered discussions on a site with another partner. We don't have the details of those discussions. We just know they are here seriously looking for an opportunity," Coleman said.
