Raise debt ceiling to avoid shutdown, Treasury Secretary Lew says

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew said Congress should raise the debt ceiling to preserve U.S. credibility to creditors and avoid another government standoff. Lew said the U.S. will reach the debt ceiling Feb. 7, and while his department can use extraordinary measures to avoid a shutdown, he said the U.S. needs to honor its debts to maintain the full faith of creditors.
