Report predicts rapid rise of digital, mobile in local media spend

Online and digital ad spending for local media will reach roughly 20% of the total spend this year, rising to nearly 30% by 2017, according to BIA/Kelsey. Local ad spending on mobile devices is projected to increase from $2.9 billion in 2013 to $10.8 billion in 2017, when it will also account for more than half of all mobile advertising.
