Report: Sound underwriting, pricing are key for small and midsize sureties

Small and midsize sureties need to be cautious regarding underwriting, services and pricing in the wake of the recession from 2007 to 2009, which has taken a major financial toll on the contractors, according to an A.M. Best report. Doing so is necessary for sureties and their clients to operate successfully, the report said.
