Heinz, Del Monte on good-for-you bandwagon

Major food companies including H.J. Heinz Co. and Del Monte Foods Co. are repackaging existing goods, including tomato-based products, to tout health benefits recently endorsed by the Food and Drug Administration, while simultaneously expanding their good-for-you food product lines. Del Monte, for example, is exploring healthy snacks and is launching a marketing campaign featuring healthy recipes.
