Studies: Leaner children have home-cooked meals, exercise

Children who regularly have home-cooked meals and get intense exercise have a lower risk of becoming overweight, according to two new studies. One study of 248 children found the slimmest boys exercised vigorously for 60 minutes daily and the slimmest girls exercised 50 minutes daily, while overweight boys and girls both exercised 12 fewer minutes per day.
