WHO: Nations must share bird flu samples

The World Health Organization says countries must share information and samples of the bird flu virus to monitor the emergence of drug-resistant strains and facilitate risk assessment. The WHO director general says virus sharing allows the organization to detect when the virus is "evolving in a dangerous way."
