Geography lessons get technology boost with electronic maps

An Illinois geography teacher says his students are turned off by traditional pull-down maps but are excited by electronic maps he displays on a whiteboard. His school and others have made the switch to help engage students in lessons and because paper maps quickly became outdated. Teachers are also hoping to begin using electronic atlases and online mapping sites.
