Field day encourages physical activity for students with disabilities

A Florida school district held a field day Friday for students in special education. Some 180 students with Down syndrome, autism and other disabilities socialized with their peers while participating in physical activities and games. "The main thing is to promote exercise and healthy living," said the adaptive physical education teacher who coordinated the event.
