Freeport, Macquarie agree on building LNG export terminal in Texas

Freeport LNG, operator of a U.S. liquefied natural gas terminal, and Macquarie Bank have reached a deal to construct a Texas LNG export plant to take advantage of strong gas production in the U.S. The planned $2 billion facility will stream 1.4 billion cubic feet of gas per day by 2015, a Macquarie representative said. Freeport is slated to operate the facility, while Macquarie is expected to help finance the development.
