About $200 million worth of living roofs were installed in North America last year, up by 16% from 2008. Market growth appears strong at about 20% so far this year, according to the trade group Green Roofs for Healthy Cities. Germany, by contrast, has green roofs on 12% of its flat-roofed structures.
