How technology is being used in some Fla. classrooms

Technology is essential for enhancing classroom instruction, as well as preparing students for a more digital world, say some Florida educators. "These are 21st century digital natives we're teaching," third-grade teacher Heather Eaton said. "I need to speak their language. They need to be exposed to technology, not only to be successful in higher education but also in everyday life." Eaton says she uses computers to help track students' progress, as part of reading instruction, and to prepare them for standardized tests.
