New Jersey retailers expect climate worries to spur revenue

This year's range of extreme-weather events has New Jersey residents stocking up for future emergencies, retailers and experts say. Generators and chain saws are experiencing added demand, said Brian Lonergan, president of a New Jersey-based Ace Outdoor Power Equipment dealer. "You want a generator that will run the necessities for you, not the air conditioner or an electric oven ... enough to keep the heat running, keep you dry with the sump pump, have some lights on and a little entertainment," said Ken Heller of EN-R-G Generators.
