Online wellness competition generated engagement, HR exec says

IT firm Progress Software used an online game to encourage employees to adopt healthier habits, with winners taking home up to $500 each, says Joe Andrews, a human resources executive. Although the health gains and cost savings may not be realized for years, the program was a success because it increased employee engagement and satisfaction, Andrews said.
