Small businesses must look out for bank deposit fees

Several major banks charge business customers fees for making cash deposits beyond a certain amount, David Lazarus writes. Bank of America, for example, charges 20 cents per $100 deposited past an initial $10,000. "Many businesses are hanging on by their toenails right now. Fees like this can be the difference between staying in business and not staying in business," said Betty Jo Toccoli of the California Small Business Association.
