UK specialists call for compulsory physical-education tests

Sports-medicine specialists from the United Kingdom are calling for physical education to be tested along with core subjects, such as reading and maths. The specialists say the testing will help identify standout athletes and improve students' health, while critics say testing will not help accomplish those goals. The testing proposal comes as the Youth Sport Trust announces it will begin training primary-school teachers in England in physical education.
