AANP moves forward with plan to merge with ACNP

The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the American College of Nurse Practitioners are moving forward with plans to merge on Jan. 1, creating the biggest professional NP membership organization in the U.S. The combined group will have 40,000 members and be called the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. "Coming together better serves our members and benefits our patients who need nurse practitioners now more than ever," said AANP President Angela Golden.
