Focus on health management, individual health plans helps annual cost increase stay low

More employers are granting their employees full control over their health insurance plans by giving them a fixed amount of money and allowing them to find the right coverage for their needs. This practice, along with bolstered health management efforts, produced the lowest average annual cost increase since 1997 at 4.1%, according to Mercer's National Survey of Employer-Sponsored Health Plans.
