Mich. district invests in technology

The Flushing, Mich., district has adopted a three-year, $2.7 million plan to upgrade education technology that includes the distribution of 560 leased iPad2 devices. The district also has installed 70 wireless access points in schools. Officials say they are optimistic that the technology will help improve education in their schools and also have committed to training teachers to use the devices.
