Retailers fret; kids ask for iPads as top present

As retailers worry over whether the nation's economic problems and a potential tax increase on upper-income shoppers will depress holiday sales this weekend, Nielsen is reporting that children and teenagers want an iPad more than any other gift. Requests to receive an iPad within the next six months topped the wish list of 48% of children ages 6 to 12 and 21% of teenagers.
