Scott Holsopple uses the Thanksgiving table as an analogy for assembling a retirement strategy. The turkey, Holsopple writes, is the 401(k) plan, the key to the whole strategy, served up with a side of nonqualified investments (potatoes), some annuities for zing (cranberries) and long-term-care coverage if you can get it (green-bean casserole).
