2 green tech firms to invest $1.5B for facilities at N.Y.'s clean-energy hub

Green LED lighting company Soraa and silicon solar cell maker Silevo have announced plans to move key operations to New York's Buffalo High-Tech Manufacturing Innovation Hub. The green tech firms will invest a total of $1.5 billion in the hub, and the construction of the firms' facilities is set to be completed in 18 months. New York will invest $225 million in the high-tech hub, which is focused on clean energy.
