Acer names co-founder interim president as Wong steps down

Acer Chief Executive Officer Jim Wong, who took the helm from J.T. Wang only weeks ago, has stepped down. Retired co-founder Stan Shih is returning to the company, at no salary, as interim president and chairman after nine years away from the struggling PC maker. Wang and Wong will remain with Acer as advisers, according to a statement. George Huang, co-founder, is also returning to the management team.
