AMA estimates ICD-10 cost, calls for delay

The American Medical Association House of Delegates called for a delay in the ICD-10 deadline because its implementation cost per practice was estimated to range between $83,290 and $2.7 million, based on size. The AMA delegates also discussed the Medicare sustainable growth rate formula and urged the CDC to gather more detailed information on prescription drug abuse.
