Baucus proposes reducing tax breaks for oil industry

Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont., on Thursday proposed reducing tax breaks available to the oil industry. Baucus, who leads the Senate Finance Committee, said the proposal is part of a much wider plan to overhaul corporate tax law. American Petroleum Institute spokesman Brian Straessle said the group is currently looking into the proposal, saying, "People's jobs are at stake, so lawmakers had better get the details of tax reform right."
