BRICS and IEA will work on energy-market transparency

The International Energy Agency and six emerging-market countries agreed to cooperate to bring greater transparency to energy markets and energy security. IEA chief Maria van der Hoeven said the agency's "key partners" in the effort -- Brazil, China, India, Russia and South Africa, plus Indonesia -- account for nearly 40% of the world's energy consumption.
