Cut travel stress by checking bags, expedited screening

Travelers flying during the busy holiday season can reduce their stress levels by checking large bags and keeping themselves updated on the status of their flight, experts say. They also recommend enrolling the Transportation Security Administration's Pre-Check expedited screening program. "Travel stress can put a damper on the holidays — which is a shame when so much of it is avoidable," said Mike Benjamin, chief executive at FlightView, a Boston day-of-travel data provider. "Travelers can get out ahead of packed airports, crowded overhead bins and changing departure times with a little preparation and the right information in their hands."
