Feds see role for vets in meeting wireless industry worker demand

The Obama administration is promoting a program to help unemployed veterans and address the tech worker shortage in one shot by transitioning returning soldiers into jobs in the wireless industry. The "Warriors 4 Wireless" initiative -- which includes industry backers such as Cisco, T-Mobile and a number of professional associations -- has set a goal of funneling at least 5,000 vets into positions as wireless field workers responsible for frontline equipment deployment in the next two years.
