Mo. governor faces impeachment calls after supporting marriage equality

Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon, a Democrat, announced last week that he supports marriage equality and that he will sign an executive order to allow same-sex couples married legally in other states to file Missouri tax returns jointly. "Many Missourians, including myself, are thinking about these issues of equality in new ways and reflecting on what constitutes discrimination," Nixon said. The change prompted state Rep. Nick Marshall, a Republican, to call for Nixon's impeachment.
