Sprint wellness challenge leverages social media for success

Sprint's 12-week Get Fit Challenge had a 35% participation rate, with employees losing more than 41,000 pounds, walking almost 4.8 billion steps and recording about 22 million minutes of exercise, the company reported. The company used social media to build excitement and offer employees a chance to track and compare their progress with other participants.
