U.K. ends funding for developing nations' coal projects

Britain will no longer fund coal-fired power plants in developing countries, Energy Secretary Ed Davey said during climate-change talks in Warsaw, Poland. The policy change, made in cooperation with the U.S. and several European countries, will reduce greenhouse-gas emissions, he said. The World Bank has said it will loan to coal plants only when few practical alternatives are available.
