Florida construction industry still struggling in hurricanes' wake

Florida contractors are likely to see delays and materials shortages continue into next year, months after the state was battered by hurricanes that disrupted the industry. However, Associated General Contractors chief economist Ken Simonson said the storm-related interruption in demand for such materials as concrete gave manufacturers a chance to catch up after falling behind.
