65 world leaders will take part in climate summit, Denmark says

Danish officials said that 65 heads of state and government have confirmed their planned attendance at the U.N. climate summit in Copenhagen. While the prospects of a legally binding pact have dimmed, Denmark has improved the discussions by asking 191 world leaders to take part in the last two days of the event to build support for a political deal. The "active involvement" of such leaders is key to resolving concerns and reaching an "ambitious" treaty, Danish Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen said.
