Districts employ different methods for staff communication

Two Texas school districts are implementing very different policies this year for communication between teachers and administrators, according to a Fort Worth Star-Telegram columnist. A highly structured communication plan in the Keller district provides employees with a strict chain of command for addressing problems or concerns. Administrators in the Mansfield district say their Web-based communication system is effective because it allows employees at all levels to have open discussions on whatever issues they choose.
