Romer: Spend now to fix the deficit later

Achieving long-term economic recovery may require spending more in the short-term, rather than cutting costs, argues Christine Romer, a former economic adviser to President Barack Obama. Romer says Obama should look for ways to focus future tax cuts on the middle class, arguing that those cuts do the most to spur job creation and economic growth.
