Cooking-oil stocks are on the decline

Inventories as calculated by days of supply for the nine leading cooking oils will fall to their lowest levels since 1975, according to this Bloomberg analysis of U.S. Department of Agriculture data. Fewer than 29 days' worth of the oils, including palm, soybean and sunflower, will be on hand as farmers fail to match demand that's far outpacing population growth.
