Children, youths who binge eat show higher cardiometabolic risk

Data presented at Obesity Week showed a higher score in the Binge Eating Scale was associated with increased waist-to-height ratio, fat-mass percentage and daily energy intake in children and adolescents. Researchers also found binge eating was tied to reduced levels of physical activity and increased television and screen time in pediatric patients.
