Former defense secretary praises Hagel, fears sequester's effects

Deep sequestration cuts to training for military troops means the U.S. should be concerned about "whether we should send these troops into battle," says former Secretary of Defense William Cohen, who warned the funding cut could "hollow out" the military. Cohen, speaking during a recent interview in Lincoln, Neb., praised the selection of Chuck Hagel as secretary of defense, calling Hagel "an absolutely great choice."
