Report: FDA recalls more than doubled in Q3 compared with Q2

Seven million units of food were recalled by the FDA in the third quarter, more than double the amount in Q2, according to data from ExpertRECALL. Allergens were the reason for 40% of Q3 recalls, and they have been the biggest or second-biggest reason for recalls during the past seven quarters.
