Restaurants answer the call to help causes

Restaurants have a tradition of pitching in to raise money for a wide range of causes including childhood hunger and disaster recovery, and this year is no exception. Despite several years of economic uncertainty, eateries raised $10 million during September's Dine Out For No Kid Hungry campaign, and restaurants in several parts of the country quickly organized events in recent days to aid typhoon victims in the Philippines.
