SingTel gets go-ahead to take over broadband fiber network

Singapore Telecommunications has received regulatory approval to proceed with its $101 million acquisition of the OpenNet Pte consortium, which developed a fiber-based broadband network in Singapore. Other Singapore telecoms had objected to the proposed deal. The Info-communications Development Authority set several conditions for completion of the transaction and gave all parties two weeks to provide feedback on those conditions.
