A Louisiana school that includes eight National Board Certified Teachers has received a five-star rating from the state -- a distinction based on curriculum, leadership, community involvement and the foundation of education. "We try to maintain our strengths and fix our weaknesses," said Carynn Wiggins, principal of Louisiana Tech's A.E. Phillips Laboratory School. "We are never content where we are, but we don't teach to tests. We teach to students. I think because we teach them well, our scores improve."
